We are recruiting for a Production Administrator for our client based in Preston. As a ‘Production Administrator’ you will be expected to negotiate and place purchase orders ensuring schedule’s and delivery promises are maintained by suppliers and provide administrative services and general clerical assistance to the ‘Production Manager’.
The role holder will support the Preston Production Support department allocating material to production orders in accordance with customer requirements ensuring optimum material usage and cut off recovery.
The Main Duties
Will be to achieve internal SLA for material allocation and release of all validated production orders into WIP using standard operating procedures and processes and the creation of delivery notes and associated paperwork or all orders. The Ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail have experience of working in an administration setting and have ability to multi task.
Duties and responsibility:
·To expedite orders in accordance with purchasing order requirements
·Monitor and manage supplier performance through vendor rating system
·To assist the Production Manager on a day to day basis, organise office systems and carry out general office duties
·Help progressing orders for customers
·Chase outstanding orders from subcontractors
·Check/input sales orders and print and distribute work orders
·Progress orders for customers with production
·Assist with stocktaking
·Maintain works orders
·Identify and resolve stock issues as they arise
·Check WIP report daily
Successful candidate will be accurate and have an excellent attention to detail.
